National Library Week...
...is coming up, so during April I'm going to be compiling a list of my students' favorite books and authors, figuring out which are available for free at Sacramento Public Library, and then making that list available the first week of May. Okay, I'm posting a comment to my own blog. Favorite book: The Cottonmouth Club.
Ev's favorite books since the Harry Potter series were the Percy Jackson books! He DEVOURED them!
As an added bonus, they piqued his interest in mythology.
p.s. One of my online peeps wanted me to suggest Philip Pullman's "His Dark Materials".
T is now reading the Percy Jackson books, too, since his friend gave him the first three for his birthday. He definitely finds them as engrossing as Harry Potter.
